The table top gives a good indication of how much snow has fallen and the actual fact of the snow - its depth and breadth
- gives an idea of how deep snow can prevent most outdoor activities. The image is strong in the narrative aspect however
the composition is busy. The idea may have been more strongly conveyed through a tighter crop around the table/chairs.
