Great action shot but my feeling is that if your taking it in broad daylight (even cloudy) you should be able to and
need to take action shots at high shutter speeds with lense wide open. A higher ISO wouldn’t hurt either…. All to
capture the action in sharp focus albeit only on the rider and horses head if that’s all the depth of field will allow.
