Split Log

Hofstade, Belgium

I found this split log during a walk round one of the ponds in Hofstade and was more attracted by it's unusual blue-greyish colour than by it's abstract shape. I studied the subject profoundly and made many shots, during at least half an hour, before I felt I had found the right angle and composition.
