My dragonfly luck continued today in an unusual way. Today was the annual Purple Martin banding event at the Purple Martin colony at the Nepean Sailing Club. Purple Martins bring back quantity of dragonflies to feed their young and sometimes rarities get brought back. I had this thought in my mind that I would like to see a Purple Martin bring back an Elusive Clubtail and that's exactly what happened! Although it is hard to see, this Purple Martin has an Elusive Clubtail in her beak. The Elusive Clubtail is considered rare in my area.
