This reminded me why I always bring my camera with me wherever I go even when it is a nuisance to haul it around. I wasn't out looking to photograph anything this morning when I unexpectedly encountered this very tame Great Blue Heron. I don't think I had ever had an opportunity to photograph a Great Blue Heron with its breeding plume like this until today.
