This was as far as I made it today. Behind me was a large flooded area that I didn't want to bother tackling. I had enough. I have never seen so much flooding in this area before. But it makes sense. With the ground frozen solid what is the water from all that rain to do but pool up like this? I'll have to wait a few days so the forecasted deep-freeze can turn these pools into solid ice.
Although not visible in this photo, the trees along the trail here were recently tagged by vandals; warnings about blood-thristy monsters that lurk in the bushes were spray-pained on the trees. I saw none of this the last time I walked through here.
