Kharunisia Jazmin...what a sight! Kharu, for short, is a Filipina model, actress and currently the reigning Miss Avon Philippines.
Kharu was simply a joy to work with. She is very creative and her eyes can really show all the emotions. We never got tired of shooting even way passed our lunch time.

These are the pictures I took in a workshop with Master photographer Manny Librodo.
Manny is a Filipino based in Thailand teaching Psychology but simply had a passion for photography.
His work was so outstanding that it got published in Digital Photography in 2005.
During the workshop, Manny shared many techniques on how to take portraits including looking for the good light, background, waiting for the right emotion, etc.

Hi Joseph, I was just wondering if you could shed some light on Manny's style. It seems like most of his students achieve Manny's signature dramatic look quite quickly. Hello Grace, I used the Canon EOS 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens during the entire shoot of Kharunisia. It is a very sharp lens and offers very nice bokette for background blur. Thanks for dropping by my gallery.

Great Portraits !!! I like the way the light falls on her face... very subdued, soft and moody. You got the lighting on the dot. Judging from all your shots, Kharu is a very versatile and talented model - every variation in the shots create a different persona ... The pictures linger long after you view them. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder! As the artist, you've posted your best shots so each one has got to be good. Many others have cast their votes before me, influencing and narrowing my choices further. But I personally liked the last photo best. Sometimes you just know it when a specific image "just stops you cold in your tracks..." Good work.
