That's a name that kept coming up in my planning. Had we had some time in Lucerne this may well have been the destination, though the rail fares up there are grotesque. However we decided to go one higher and go to Jungfraujoch (where the rail fares are the same or similar.) Hence the reason that we're shooting straight to Interlaken; Lucerne to Jungfraujoch was just too much for one day especially as you won't know the weather when you set out. I was surprised by the hotel prices on Pilatus; not cheap but less than I would have expected. Maybe one day when I win the lottery. Or lotteries, plural...
