Monday 17th October 2005 - Day 303

A typical monday morning today - well, for me anyway... just difficult to get started, and I'm normally a morning person.

Nearby, there is a petrol/gas station cum shop that has recently closed. All boarded up, the pumps have gone. But... the main advertising light is still switched on! Maybe they couldnt find the switch. Oh, the site has been sold for more housing, not because fuel costs were driving it out of business.

Super DOF.

Looks like you're trying to escape. Need bail money? :)

Gone, but not necessarily forgotten. They say that 25% of all underground storage tanks have leaked. Sure, you had to go and make me think about work!

You look trapped

I'm not going to make any aspersions on your character, Lee ... just say that I love your image! :)

You've got the out of focus background spot on. Unusual image...

I'm thinking all the petrol and diesel will be taken out of the tanks making seepage a non-issue. But, I digress. ;) This is a lovely shot. The DOF is striking, but the most striking thing is the old bars that are crooked. I would like to see this image with a sepia or bw treatment.

So no doubt the new residents will be forced to shop at the local Tesco or Sainsburys. Another nail in the coffin for the small man.

Does have a rather dark, ominous feel to it! Very effective dof for a bit of mystery!

hhhmmmm - wouldn't you just love to raise your family on the site of an ex-petrol station, with all that lovely petrol and diesel seeping through the soil.....

Looks as if someone has tried to squeeze through the bars...though not exactly Fort Knox with this flimsy stuff is it.. :>)
