Silver Birch curve

Tuesday 27th September 2005 - Day 283

A visit to the dentist this evening to have my teeth scrubbed, don't you love it! (Sorry Pete!) Anyway, a pleasant walk round the path afterwards eased my feelings about teeth and life! There is some colour, but not as much as I was expecting. I was struck by the contrast between the bark of the birch and the dark background.

Nice shot...like how it's not in the middle and sorta slants out the top

Now I can really see why it is called silver birch. I always thought it was the underneath of the leaves that showed silver in the wind that gave it its name. A nice composition.

I like the contrast as well..

Where's your lensbaby? ;) There is a nice curve to this tree. The bark looks like real silver. Nicely done.

What about a good boy stamp...get one of those ? :>) Birches to not grow in my humid area, but I did have them in the cooler southern parts & always loved their bark.
