Flower Show, St James Church, Okehampton

Saturday 16th July - Day 210

OK, I've not had the best of days - confirmed what I knew today at the opticians, and my eyes have got rather worse over this year - not bad, bad... but more difficult to read the close up stuff - like LCD's on the camera.. lol

There was an "Ark" based flower show in one of the old churches - I felt inspired to take this, just because I could :) The reading is 1 Corinthians XI for anyone who wants to know!

Beautiful shot! The soft lighting on the Bible, the DOF, the composition, the lovely floral background - all perfect! Has a wonderful spiritual, peaceful feel to it. Vote! ...Our arms shrink at the age of 40, making it difficult to hold objects out far enough to read! ;-)

This is beautiful, Lee. The light and shadow, the open Bible, the flowers, the window. It's all seen so beautifully by your eye--old though it may be ;)

It seems to be the most unavoidable harbinger of age -- I'm finding it harder and harder to read the small print, took me four tries to get the Microsoft Office product key correct on a new laptop yesterday!
