Shopping Arcade, Okehampton

Tuesday 22nd March 2005 - Day 94

I suppose this was like a 'Mall' now is, but in the late Victorian era. This is one that is still in use, and has lots of small goods shops, including the local photo/art shop.

One for Coleen

P.S. I noticed that the winner in one of last week's dpchallenge competitions bore a marked resemblance to yesterday's PaD... I hadn't actually seen it until this morning!

Gorgeous DOF. This is a bit reminiscent of the Pike Market in Seattle. Really lovely. Love the arches.

I really like this wide angle view,Lee. I have to take more wide angle shots. I would love to go browsing here. Looks like they'd be lots of interesting finds.

Great angles that that roof has, you have a great eye for architexture ( oh i think I misplled that one). Very nice Love the crop on this one as well, because it accentuates further the roof.

Nice perspective - you've captured the roof very well.

Victorian Arcades are always such interesting. The structures are to be treasured. I love the nearness of the stores & if there's a delicatessen & an old fashioned bookshop in there, then it's even better.

I like this roof!

Are the roof supports Victorian or a newer addition. I like the architectural details, and the POV.

I like this one Lee. Love the geometric shapes of the roof. The dof is deep so your eye is drawn through the image. The image has good interest with lots to explore.
