Beach Rescue, Bude

Sunday 27th February 2005 - Day 71

Whether I was wise or not, a trip to the seaside today - to Bude, on the North Cornwall coast. Mind you, no chance of a tan in my beach wear - thick trousers and fleece plus jacket - and a very fetching hat and gloves - this sort of kept the warmth in! Just as well, it was a bit ummm bracing!

I chose this as my PaD. I know its a departure for me - there are people in it! I assume these were the beach rescue team, as they weren't doing an awful lot of surfing. Actually, almost every time I turned round to see them, they were not in the water! Can't say I blame them.

Some more sea scenes

Something of the intricate cliff face detail

And two types of fisherman

Very interesting photo. It looks as though they're split into two teams.

Not surprised they're not keen on going in today....

Great beach pic Lee. Lots of drama or they are checking there thermometers.

I like the color in this image and how you cropped it. I also like how those people stand there, almost as if to wait for the weather to get warm so they can go out there and catch a wave. Wonderful image.

It's a very good thing they're brave since they will always have a not so fortunate, or a fool to rescue. I don't even like the water mid summer, but in that weather.. !! :>)

Lee, I sneaked a look at this before you'd had time to include your comments - and wondered what was going off! Thanks for the explanation. Looks cold - nice colours though, including a blue sea :-))
