Chinese Lantern No. 1

Saturday 12th February 2005 - Day 56

Physalis alkekengi

I've been set a challenge. To identify ways to photograph the skeleton of a Chinese Lantern plant. I think this might be a lot of fun, but I do hope that you have got sturdy constitutions - this may go on for a few days!

I love how this image transforms from light into shadow and the brown, earthtone so well fits in this. Very delicate actually.

Hope you've got a few of these if you've got a theme starting - this one looks so fragile. Nice composition, lighting and colour.

What a fab thing to photograph! Looks like it's very fragile - be careful!

I like the shadows this casts with the lighting and background.
