Ubit Team's 1-to-4 GPU Riser|Adapter|Splitter Board is what I used to expand my motherboard's capacity from having only 2 cpu-lane slots that will physically accept two GPU cards, to four RX580 8GB cards. 5 gpu cards will fit into this setup, 1 in motherboard slot and 4 on risers attached to the Ubit adapter. If I had 2 Ubit riser adapters, 8 gpu's on risers would connect to 2 of these Ubit adapters, or if 3 of these Ubit adapters then 12 gpu's on risers would fit.
My risers are Ver 000, and
006C is the best(click for review). Ver 000 would not even work with its own pcie insert for the motherboard slot. 000 will only work with the Ubit 1-to-4 splitter adapter, but no matter how many I try or how I adjust them to work, usually two gpu's will stop hashing or two threads on two gpu's will stop hashing. 006C has a built-in voltage regulator, so I am going to be buying those as soon as I have $10/each, more or less. Ubit Team actually recommends 006. 000, am I kidding?! I only have two molex cables coming out of my excellent Thermaltake 1500 watt psu, but two molex per only three riser cards/gpus, seems fine. I think it's just Ver 000.
