Fire of a New Dawn

Jasper National Park

Image shot at Pyramid Lake in Jasper NP, just outside of town. Barbara and I were there for 12 days
and got up early to try and catch a colourful sunrise on probably 6 or 7 of those days. The other
mornings being too cloudy or too windy to bother. The morning this image was made was the best. I
think the light lasted for about 13 minutes. It is a combination of two frames blended together.
Same camera framing but one was shot at -1.0 EV (25.0sec) and the other shot at -2.0 EV (13.0sec).

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Incredible light and that smooth, glassy appearance of the lake really enhances it too.

Great shot; darkening the shadows a bit more would make it even more dramatic.
