This is the very first picture I took with my D40. I popped in my SD card and took a shot without checking any of the settings or any introduction to the controls except to identify the on switch! I took three more shots and bought the camera. I was amazed at the quality of the shots and the image setting was Jpeg "normal" (middle) not "fine".
