HABITAT: FORESTS, CONIFERS, GROVES * L 8" WS 17" WT 2.8oz F>M * LIFESPAN UP TO 10 YRS

This owl is very small and very docile. Average size is 7 - 8 1/2 inches with a wing span of 17". Weighing only
about 3 ounces, it is found most of the time well hidden in conifers and tangles. Adult sexes are identical.
Diet consists mainly of small rodents and they nest across Southern Canada.

This owl was discovered in this tree by the land owner on 03/13/2008, although the number of
pellets found indicate it was there quite some time before, and last seen 03/26/2008.
