I just placed this up here for everyone who says "there's a scratch on my front element and its ruining my pictures". This is a Sigma 150-500 that was dropped, the front element nearly shattered, and photos taken with the lens as you see it. In the interest of full disclosure, it was a bit slow to autofocus :-)
The last two pictures show the real effect of the damage - shot into the sun the lens decompensates fully.
Ah ... see some of the other shots with it. But, would like to see it used wide open for a portrait

Would love to see some photos with that broken front element ... wide open and stopped all the way down. Into the sun and sun to back ...

I can actually relate to this... I dropped my camera with a lens on it and it knocked one of the elements loose inside. It still takes good pictures but on occasion, you will see a dark spot in the picture. Sorry to see that.
