Chequamegon Bay ice, Ashland, 22 March 2006
Extensive white bib and head almost entirely white, but lower breast and belly rather heavily barred. Back lighter than might be expected for an immature bird but this may be due to fading/wear. Tail had 2 incomplete dark bars and secondary coverts were slightly mottled.
