Lake Darner (Aeshna eremita)

Another "blue" or "mosaic" darner. Most similar to but less common than the Canada Darner (A. canadensis). Lake Darners are a bit larger than Canada but more importantly, Lake Darner (1) has a distinct black crossline on face, (2) has a deeper, sharper "V" cut in the anterior thoracic side stripe, and (3) often has a notch in the posterior thoracic side stripe.
