Horned Clubtail (Arigomphus cornutus)

An uncommon clubtail predominately found in June and early July throughout Wisconsin. Males have distinct claspers with the upper clasper forked and the lower clasper spread wide. Females uniquely show tiny black "horns" just anterior to a tall and notched ridge between the eyes. I saw only one individual in 2008.
