Cheetah

Kruger National Park, South Africa

Cheetahs are fascinating as being the fastest running animal on earth, up to 75 MPH; they accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 3 seconds; they live about 10 years in the wild; they can go as much as 10 days without water; they have about 2000 spots, and their name comes from the Hindi word Chita, that means "spotted one"
Cheetahs don't roar but they actually miaow and purr like house cats; Their claws are non-retractable so they can not climb trees but that helps them with their speed.
The total number of Cheetahs in the world is about 7000.
