This is a pretty poor picture of me but it is the bracelets I am wearing on which I want to focus.

I was given these by Jack. Jack was one of our Vietnamese interpreters, just children actually. I'll talk about Jack in another photo. I wore these bracelets during my whole tour and I never took them off. They were never taken off that until the night I was wounded and then I never saw them again.

These were one of my most values treasures and very much missed them when my box of personal items returned from Vietnam and they were not with them. I also lost my high school ring when I was wounded as well but the friendship bracelets from Jack were the real treasure.
