P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot

P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot at its moorings alongside the historic Port of Echuca Warf.

Alexander Arbuthnot was built in 1916 as a barge. She was fitted with an engine and superstructure in 1923. She eventually sank in 1947. Volunteers from Shepparton raised her in 1972 then in 1989 she was bought by the Port Of Echuca for further restoration.
Currently she carries up to 47 passengers per trip at the Port of Echuca. The Port of Echuca has the largest fleet of Paddle Steamers in the world.
