As a small-town Iowan, I am always amazed during those times I visit Chicago. The city bustles with millions of people and millions of cars. Rush hour is a misnomer, since the traffic doesn't "rush" anywhere and instead is so crowded it crawls along at 10mph.
The exciting thing about Chicago, however, is the sheer variety of people and cultures, all living and thriving as neighbors. It's a small glimpse into the amazing diversity of us human beings. Celebrate diversity - celebrate our sameness.
