This is a photo-montage of the adventure at my sister's house. I tried to create a water-color painting effect. Cy is in the upper left, Hannah in the lower right, and my sister Amber in the lower left corner. The basket of onions, with garlic, dill, and the tomato is from Amber's kitchen. The blue house is where they live in Minnesota, and the stairs and cross beam simply details from the house. The bluffs are a view from the bike path in town, showing the Root River.
The grain elevator and graineries are views from town.
Our big adbenture involved tubing down the Root river. My sister and I rented small kayaks and tied intertubes in tow behind them for the kids. Towing floating people changes the whole kayak experience into something that leaves little control and is an enormous amount of work. Still, it was a fun experience and one I'll never forget.
