This was one hard shot to geet. I had to wander through the brush, mud, bugs, and muck - carefully holding my tripod and camera over my head, like some soldier of war... Scratched, bruised,bleeding, and bug bit beyond belief, I still prevailed for this shot. Up close, the poor Lotus flowers, which were so gorgeous on the hill, reveal themselves to be pretty torn-up, tattered, and grasshopper eaten. So, to show this baby off better, I cropped in tight on the pod - desaturated the yellowish greenish petals to BW - and left the happy yellow pod as is. I hope you enjoy.
