The Montane or Broad-ringed White-Eye is a Zosterops restricted to mountain islands in eastern and northern-eastern Africa from Eritrea & Ethiopia into Sudan, Kenya and Tanzania. The subspecies found on Mount Kenya is often elevated to full species status (Z.kikuyuensis).
