Scotland holds a very wide range of duck species, many in dramatic numbers. Some of our estuaries hold large & internationally important populations of Sea Duck whilst large flocks of dabbling & diving ducks can be found on many of the larger lowland lochs & other wetland habitats.
Whilst the greatest numbers occur in winter a wide range of species also stay to breed here.
