A trio of VGN EL-3A electrics bring an eastbound coal train past the yard and passenger station in Princeton. Only the trailing unit is identifiable as No. 106. While undated, we can narrow down the year of the photo to be between the late 1930's and mid-1950's. The VGN's battleship gondolas were rebuilt with straight side sills as seen here in 1937-38, while the EL-3A locomotives were removed from mainline trains upon delivery of the EL-C's in 1956.
