Norfolk, VA

Virginian MB No. 448 is blowing for the crossing at Tidewater Drive with 10 cars in tow. Most likely this is a war time troop move move en route to Norfolk's Terminal Station. The cars were probably serviced at Sewell's Point and are seen here being shuttled to Terminal Station in downtown. The Tidewater Drive grade crossing was removed in 1959 when a new bridge was completed just south of the crossing.
