Alaska in Winter - Focus On Bald Eagles

February '06 Trip - Phoenix to Anchorage, 6 hr. flight, Anchorage to Homer, 5 1/2 hr. drive.

Objective: Bald Eagles, Homer, Wildlife. Watched the 10 day forecast hoping for a couple of sunny days. Yes! two sunny days in the forecast. Hop on a Plane, Rent a car, and drive down to Homer. Great Luck - two sunny day and two snowy days! That worked.

A marvelous collection of photos: so many of them out of the ordinary great eagle shots. A place I would love to get to. - although I am not sure I would want to tackle it in February!

Enrique, looks a little on the cool side, but these shots of bald Eagles are outstanding..There is also a place north of Vancouver that has a gathering of Eagles whe the salmon return. Just trying to get some info on this and will make a trip someday...Not counting Alaska out either...Thanks for sharing..Ron
