I have a 74 dodge dart with the original 318 still it was a family hand me down bought new by my great grandpa it almost looks idintical to yoursexcept no hood scoop and the mine has the racing pinstripes down the side and the dart sport pinstripe between the tail lights i dont know what color yours is but mine is inferno red but i was wondering if you knew any where to get the little dart embelem on the front fender cause Mine fell off somewhere and i have not been able to find any

Looks great,have you ever heard of a 1975 dodge dart sport "Hang-Ten",I just bought one up here in B.C.,and it has the wildest interior i've ever seen along with the fold down rear seat,orange shag carpet,white doorpanels and buckets with a multi colored center strips,console shifter,I was wondering if this might be worth restoring as is or maybe just cut it up and make a drag car out of it,its all original with the surfer stripes and has less than 80,000 miles,What do you think?

Wow! great pic's! Was your car originally a V-8? I have an original paint 73 Dart Sport, Pale green (Code J1) with white stipe and canopy top. Mine is an original Slant/6 car. I really like the picture of yours infront of the Hooters! Great album and Sweet Ride! Feel free to email me.... Bryan

I have been working with my son Bryan, on his '73 Dart with an '86 318 motor. We have learned alot, but need to finish up and get it on the road. Hows the work goin on that 74 Dart? Pics are lookin good! I bought a 74 Dart Sport 360 new in April of 74 and I still have it. Only 66k on the ticker. Pretty much all original including paint "Dark Moonstone Metallic" KL8 outside - "Parchment" vinyl top and interior. Driver seat needs reupholstering but rest looks ok. Pulled the 360 (nothing wrong)in 90. A friend gave me a 68 340 block and heads which were gone thru completely. built this for some fun. Added an 8 3/4 in rear with larger bolt pattern axles to run my ralleye wheels,Trans. holding up fine. But I have everything I took off so I can put it back together the way I bought it. May do paint soon. Drove this car daily for 4 years, then parked and stored inside. Bought a 78 Ramcharger for daily use, and drove the Dart in nice weather. BEAUTIFUL CAR AS A FORMER OWNER AND PURSUING AFUTURE 74 SPORT THEY ARE STILL GREAT CARS. MY 318 RAN BEST OF 15.52 QTR MILE NEW SUMMER OF 1974 AT NORWALK OHIO PURE STOCK AHHH TO BE YOUNG AGAIN! OH WELL THERE IS ALWAYS THAT OLD BOTTLE OF SUNOCO 260 I KEEP AROUND TO SNIFF!!!!!

sweet ride!! i dont know why im even commenting. maybe cuz im bored...yeah. ive got a 77 oldsmobile cutlass, yeah. i dont know why i said that. its true though. light blue. 350 v-8 whoo-hoo! chrome bumpers isnt that sweet, chrome wheels too-keystone klassics. oh yeah. i dont know why im still typing

Don, Nice Dart Sport! It is good to see so many Dart Sport aficionados out there. I have a well optioned 74 Dart Sport 360 with 4 speed, bucket seats, sunroof, p/s, Tuff wheel,A/C, surgrip, Hood Scoop, AM/FM radio and fold down rear seat package. I have made some minor modification and replaced the standard shift knob with a modified pistol grip shifter (I still have the original shifter). I still have some work to be done. She is still in original condition inside and out and is in need of a new paint job. Keep up the posting & pic's it is a great source of restoration information. Your car looks great!!!

Hey, nice car you have, I have a 74 Dart Sport originally Copper with white over roof stripe, I'm in the process of restoring it and going with 1974 Rallye Red(Bright Red) with white "longitudinal" stripes the tail panel white Dart Sport stripe, and blac hoodstripes with the hoodscoop, it has a 318, the last part of the project will be swap it out for a 360 4-bbl, I have a fresh set of 15x7 Rallyes for the back, and standard size 14's up front, I painted the grille a little different that original...Glad to see another Dart Sport on the web, and a nice one at that...anything you might need or just to talk, e-mail me Dart360Sport@mailcity.com later!

Hey, great to hear from another Dart Sport owner! I'm jealous of the extra horsepower you're 340 is rated for... I hope you'll get this reply being that its not an e-mail. Feel free to drop me an e-mail at don.rey@uconn.edu. Anyway, to answer your question, I dont know exactly what paint color my car is. I cant tell you paint codes or anything, but my best guess is a metallic dark red. The previous owner had it repainted, and I'm not even sure if its an original Dodge color. The paint tag has been removed besides. Anyway have fun with your car! If you've got pics, I'd love to see 'em.

I ALSO OWN A 1974 DODGE DART SPORT. I ALSO HAVE A 340 DROPPED IN, BUT IT IS A 1970 BLOCK. I AM IMPRESSED WITH YOUR CAR AND CURIOUS TO WHAT THE PAINT COLOR IS. MINE WILL EVENTUALLY BE 1970 TOP BANANA YELLOW. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF YOU CAN INFORM US OF YOUR CAR'S SPECS AND PARTS. ONCE AGAIN IT LOOKS GREAT. MINE IS ALSO MY PRIDE AND JOY. MY WIFE HATES THAT!

Nice car, I also have a 74 dart sport. Mine is all original, even paint. 318 with 94000 miles on it, copper with parchment stripe back the side and over the roof. Those raleey wheels are going a whole lot cheaper in my neck of the woods ($200 canadian)
