this trip started out as, where are we going (it was going to be some place warm)
so, Ashley had always wanted to go to the Cayman Island, I didn't care as long as I was going some place.
we got online and booked the airfare, which was a little tricky since she lives in Wisconsin and I live in Tennessee, we had to coordinate our flights and we met in Atlanta and flew there together.

after checking out room prices, they were a little more than we wanted to pay, so we found a lovely Bed and Breakfast called Annie's Place
she only had a room available for the last 4 nights of our stay, so what were we going to do the first 2 days, checked out the website www.couchsurfing.com and found Kathryn, she was great.
Picked us up at the airport, took us to her place changed and into Georgetown to look around till she got off from work. Then out to eat at a beach side cafe with some co-workers (it was great and day one of being on the island). The next day we got a cab from Kathryn's place into town and went to seven mile beach to get some sun and sand between our toes. After lunch we walked to the Ritz Carlton and went into Tiffany's, we each bought a bracelet, I bought the traditional one with the round charm that says return to Tiffany's and Ashley got the charm with a lock clasp on it to put more charms on it. At the end of the day returned to Georgetown to get a ride with Kathryn back to her place to get our luggage and then off to Annie's B&B. Saturday we got a bus ride to the Turtle farm then walked to Hell from there. Then a bus to the East end of the island just rode around on the bus to sight see and get off where ever we thought something was to be seen.
Sunday we went on a Moby Dick Tour to Stingray City and it was the greatest thing I think we did on the island.

some people that was picked up on the bus	all of these guys were from Jamaica (just finshed working, construction)	the driver dropped us off at this place to eat called Mac Donald's Jerk Chicken
	have been told this is the best jerk chicken on the island	well, look who the new cook is.......me	now I can say I jerked chicken

		I thought this was the Wreck of the Cali, but I have found out that it is NOT but one close to the Cali Also offshore in George Town harbour is the Wreck of the Cali	an old sailing ship that was used as a freighter which now rests in about 20 feet of water.
The story goes that the ship was carrying a load of dry grain and rice whenit began taking on water, causing the grains to swell and sink the vessel.	It's now in pieces on the sea floor but many of the parts are still identifiable, such as the anchor winch and diesel engines.	It sttracts a great variety of beautiful sponges along with an abundance of tropical fish.	Lobster has also been spotted at the site. The Wreck of the Cali is about 50 yards out, and is accessible from both Rackam's or Hammerhead Pub on the waterfront.

enjoyed your photo's !!. we are stopping at GrandCay in Aug and you completley gave the big picture on what is was like. Jerk Chicken looked really good!. thanks for your photo's and the time you spent publishing them. - total stranger
