Perhaps no other place in the world can be best described as an year around Halloween party. In front of Harajuku station, people from all walks of life, old and young, male and female, come fully dressed in individual costumes and makeup to see and to be seen by the crowd of spectators. In a society where individuality is discouraged and conformance is the way of life, many find an outlet by freely expressing themselves in unique fashion that could only be describes as an original Harajuku fashion. In this place, the only people that may feel out of place are the spectators.
