This unit comprises about 520 acres of Cloud Forest, of which about 90% is primary forest, and abuts the Pupulahua Geobotanical Reserve (8400 acres). Access is about 0.5 km off the paved road, 1 hr from Quito and about 10 min from the town of Nanegalito, at 1400 m elev. Eventually facilities here would include a Visitor Center with bird feeding station, 10 fully-equipped cabins each with a hummingbird feeder, and a limited interpretive network of nature trails maintained for use by older visitors.
