I traveled to northwest and eastern Ecuador specifically for birding during 2 weeks in November (14-28 Nov), accompanied by my son Nick, our friend Cole Wild, and our cousin Amnon Carmi. The team tallied 463 species of birds. Photos are organized in the four galleys shown here: Birds, Other Fauna, Scenery, and People. A fifth galley (Quetzal Reserve) describes a nascent project of mine to conserve 1000 acres of precious Ecuadorian cloud forest, home to 2 species of Quetzal.
