To celebrate my recent retirement from public service (25 years employed by the CDC), I will dedicate 2023 to my birding passion and realize a life-long dream of competing for a birding Big Year. To add a twist, I will attempt a Biggest Year, with a goal of 950 species observed in the USA and its territories during 2023. The Project will raise money for some good causes as well. Furthermore I will finance the effort by offering tours to the key destinations throughout the USA, Puerto Rico and the South Pacific.
