I remeber the day the Talibans blew it up, I cried like a baby. Mostly I cried because I knew what it meant to me personally because I have an uncle who is an archeologist and I imagined the pain he felt. He wrote his thesis on this particular statue of Buddah and I also remember how much he loves Bamiyan and it's people. The holocaust of Afghanistan is a mere postscript in Western media but to us, it is a desecretion of all that is dear to us. I curse all those who participated in this crime, Jesus may have forgiven but I can't.

A.K nice to see it we had sth good but taliban destroyedit wiht pakistani daal khors gosh we have lots enemys from 4 side they destroyed it but hazara ha didnt say any thing come on u were so active when u guys destroyed kabul we u didnt say anything to talibans

Nice to see this image. I think this Bhudda carving was destroyed by the Taliban.
