If you compare this shot to one taken on the first day of the fire, the 19th, you can get a sense of how the fire has moved to the North....or to the left.
Actually, much of the smoke today is likely from controlled burn outs in anticipation for the Red Flag winds that are developing tonight. An hour or so ago, the winds shifted to the NE and are already around 25 mph and gusty.....it's now around 10 p.m. on Thursday, the 21st.
With today's activity, I'd guess the fire is about 2000 acres now.
Damn it....a 35 mph gust just knocked over my D50 on a tripod and broke the memory card access door. Camera still works. %&$%$#^@
