It's no wonder that Ventura County has one of the FINEST
Fire & Rescue teams around; they train long & hard as shown
here, even in parking lots & empty fields, showing recruits
of all ages how to handle the hoses, set the gauges, etc..

Many huge Thank You's to them (& to the LA County Fire Dept)
for keeping the recent 118 - Topanga Cyn Fire from spreading
down here into the valley; it was close, but they held their
ground & the fire was no match for the combined efforts ~
