The was one of the ways Mr. William Keys made his money;
he would process the ore the miners would bust their buns
getting for a fee. Of course, this was an enormous process
with heavy machinery, crushing the rock & using mercury to
create a slurry which was then heated. When you removed
mercury, the idea was, what was left over was gold.
I was impressed with the mechanics of the equipment, given
the time period of use. He had several of these machines at
his mines, but this one was here at his ranch. Very Cool!
