Twenty Mule Team Canyon

Before meeting the ranger for our hike in Monarch Canyon, we had time for a quick drive through Twenty Mule Team Canyon. Twenty Mule Team Canyon is a side canyon of Furnace Creek Wash and is accessible on a 2.7 mile, one way drive off of Highway 190. The road winds through the colorful badlands of the Black Mountains and packs in a lot of pretty scenery in a short distance. We had just enough time for Steve and Norah to do a little morning run, but this area would be worthy of more time for some exploration on foot.
