The Icefields Parkway is a scenic highway that stretches 140 miles from Jasper to Lake Louise. The scenery is fantastic and there are various roadside attractions and viewpoints along the way. We ended up traveling the length of the parkway several times -- in both 80 degree weather and in winter driving conditions. We had a great stretch of weather for the first part of our trip, then true to mountain form, we got snow (at least we weren't caught by surprise in the backcountry like last year!). Despite derailing our hiking plans, it was neat to see how the scenery changed with snow. We especially liked Bow Lake and Peyto Lake.
