On our drive from Salt Lake City to Moab we stopped by Timpanogos Cave National Monument in the Wasatch Mountains. Getting to the cave entrance required a steep 1.5 mile hike with nice views of American Fork Canyon. The cave had a lot of really neat structures and formations, including helictites, which grow sideways due to capillary action.
