We were heading back to our hotel when we came across the impressive Castelvecchio on the Adige River. It was originally built in 1354-1355 and has gone through various transformations and restorations since then. During the day you can visit the interior and museum installations. This is the main facade of the fortified perimeter; this entrance is on the city side.
