After seeing Grand Prismatic from above, Norah wanted a close up look (we had seen it last year, but she didn't remember). We did the easy loop on the boardwalk through the Midway Geyser Basin. The start of the walk takes you over the Firehole River and past Excelsior Geyser, a large and extremely steamy thermal feature.
