After sunrise at Island Lake Steve and I backtracked to Beartooth Lake. Our plan was to do a loop hike past Beauty Lake (around 7.7 miles and 1000 feet elevation gain). We started at the same trailhead we had visited a few days before. This is the view of Beartooth Butte not far from the trailhead.
