We took the scenic route to the Grand Canyon - up 89a through Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff, 89 to Cameron, then 64 across the reservation to the eastern entrance at the South Rim. We arrived just in time for the late afternoon light at Desert View. The view of the canyon is a little different out here - a little more open and a clearer view of the Colorado River. Beautiful!
